Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial set to be opened 8.28.11


[Washington, D.C. – reporting from the Congressional Black Caucus] It was announced during today’s Keeping It Real program hosted by Rev. Al Sharpton, who was joined by Mr. Harry Johnson, President/CEO of The Martin Luther King Memorial that Sunday, August 28th, 2011 which will mark the 48th anniversary of the famous 1963 March on Washington,  and the long awaited and highly anticipated King Memorial is slated to be open to the public.

Themed from “The Emancipator” to “The Liberator” Rev. Sharpton will once again lead the throngs of marchers from The Lincoln Memorial to The King Monument.
